Background
"Running your business like the big boys" is Kippa's mission for micro and small businesses in Africa.
Before Kippa, these businesses ran operations such as managing money, inventory tracking and records of staff and suppliers offline, mainly with pen and paper or ledgers.
It's time consuming and inefficient and as such lead to errors in cashflow and finance.
All that wouldn't be a problem with Kippa's bookkeeping solution in a market worth more than $200 billion in Nigeria. These over 500,000 small businesses can also create invoices and receipts, manage their inventory with ease.
My Role
While leading Product design efforts, I worked cross-functionally with a team of 3 designers I managed, 3 developers (mobile and web) and 3 product managers. I'm honored to have delivered the following value to the entire organization:
Designed revenue generating products from the ground up, such as Kippa Start, Kippa Stores, Bookkeeping, Inventory and the Reports feature.
Established a workflow to reduce development time by 40%.
Designed and maintained the first Design System across mobile and web platforms.
